Amazon Web Services Direct Connect Now Available in SUNeVision’s MEGA Campus Data Centers
SUNeVision Holdings Limited (“SUNeVision”, Stock Code: 8008:HK), a premium carrier neutral data center service provider in Hong Kong, announced the immediate availability of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect in SUNeVision’s MEGA Campus (comprising the MEGA-i and MEGA Two data centers). With AWS Direct Connect in the carrier neutral MEGA Campus, customers can now have a secure, direct expressway to connect to the AWS cloud to reduce network costs, increase throughput, improve latency, enhance security, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. With AWS Direct Connect, customers can transfer their business critical data directly from datacenter, office, or co-location environment into and from AWS, bypassing Internet service providers and removing network congestion. Customers can also use AWS Direct Connect to establish a private virtual interface from any on-premise network directly to their Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), providing them with a private, high bandwidth network connection between their network and their VPC. With multiple virtual interfaces, customers can even establish private connectivity to multiple VPCs while maintaining network isolation. AWS Direct Connect’s simple pay-as-you-go pricing and no minimum commitment means customers pay only for the network ports they use and the data they transfer over the connection, which can greatly reduce networking costs.
